Are you having the problem that your Update Manager component says i needs restart all the time? And it doesn't help restarting several times? Try this!
- goto: C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG8
- rename: updatecomps.cfg to updatecomps.cfg.old
- run avg updater
- reboot
That should fix it!
